The retreat center is a beacon of collective and mutual respect for the 80 acres of land in their trust, for the indigenous peoples, and the cultural history of this area. The spaces aim to mirror and reflect the surrounding landscape, and practices are in place for regenarative farming, mutual-aid network, and a healing arts center. Explore Brave Earth.
Movement, Training, & Discovery
You can expect daily, all levels for all bodies yoga classes, shamanic rituals and ceremony during our time together. Morning classes will focus on strength and alignment, while evening sessions will be more restorative and stretchy. We are so excited to be offering a Reiki Level 2 Training on this retreat! Amy & Chelsea will be spearheading this portion of the experience. See below for more details.
Celebrate Nature & Downtime
Excursions include a guided night tour of the rainforest, a trip to the Eco Termales hot springs, and a few other optional experiences that will be shared closer to the retreat. There are walking paths around the property, a swimming pond, and plenty of open spaces to connect and enjoy the Nature all around you. There is a massage/ acupuncturist available for bookings as well.
Join us January 17-23, 2026 in the incredible container that is the "living laboratory" Brave Earth in the rainforest of Costa Rica, 3 hours or so northeast of San Jose via car in the community of San Isidro de Peñas Blancas.
Nestled between the Children's Eternal Rainforest and Volcano Arenal, the center is an opportunity to "Root & Remember" with experiences that encourage presence, service, & powerful stewardship.
There will be a Level 2 Reiki Training offered, shamanic practices, all levels Hatha alignment based yoga, meditation, an excursion to hot springs, a night hike, nourishing vegetarian meals, and plenty of time to connect with not only your Self and the community around you, but Mother Earth herself.

Reiki 2 Training
Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing art that works to connect our own life force energy with universal life force energy. It is a form of mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual healing that works through the balance of our seven main Chakras, or energy centers, in our bodies.
If Reiki Level 1 elevates energy of the physical body, Reiki Level 2 helps to elevate the mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of healing. This means you will have the ability to become an even more effective channel for the universal life force energy to flow!
During our time together, we will learn:

And other ways to use the Symbols for clearing, protection & manifestation
Our second level training will strengthen your relationship with Reiki and deepen the connection with your Higher Self. Receiving your Reiki 2 attunement has the power to increase your Spiritual Development and strengthen the flow of Reiki. This will allow you to tap into higher levels of vibration and create deeper alignment with the Universe.
If you are already attuned to Reiki 1, we will be offering a Reiki 2 class and attunement. This class includes how to connect more deeply with yourself, learning and implementing three of the sacred Reiki symbols, and how to use them to send Reiki through time and space, to anyone, anywhere and any situation past, present or future.
Those already attuned to Reiki 1, 2, and/or Master have the option to retake one or both classes. There will be numerous elemental rituals and education about Shamanic history and practices throughout our time together, as well as ways to deepen your connection with Reiki and the natural world.
There will also be a chance to take a Reiki Level 1 class in Atlanta before the Costa Rica retreat, if you wish to participate in the Level 2 training while on retreat.
Who We Are
DR. AMY KING
Dr. Amy King is an Intuitive Chiropractor, Reiki Master Teacher, Shamanic Practitioner & Creatrix of Heart Space Holistic.
In addition to her doctorate work, she has trained extensively in the specialized modalities of bio-geometric integration, and other energetic healing techniques, of which she wholly integrates into her work with clients and the community.
Alongside chiropractic, she provides clients with both Reiki and energetic healing sessions born from Shamanic and elemental practices. As a Reiki Master teacher, Dr. Amy teaches classes, workshops and extensive mentorships to the community. These teachings are dedicated to giving community members tools for a deeper connection with themselves, the earth, the animals, the plants, the stars, and their fellow humans.
CHELSEA KING
Chelsea King is an artist dedicated to transmutation and soul seeing. She is a trauma informed Reiki Master Teacher, Licensed Massage Therapist and trained Plant Based Chef. She has also been studying Cartomancy for over a decade and has dabbled in film photography, Shamanism and many other modalities and systems that bring about a deeper connection to self alongside the natural world.
This wide variety of spiritually centered artistic mediums allows her to offer expansive connections that bring others energetic patterns into the light in order to be seen as a part of the path forward. She is a firm believer that as we learn to embrace the energies that exist within us, we can truly open up to more abundance in all areas of our lives.
JENN GREEN
With over 13 years of teaching experience, taking countless trainings around Thai Bodywork, tarot, meditation, breath work, and more, she brings a dynamic yet playful approach to self inquiry and growth.
We have a responsibility to live our lives as fully as possible while practicing mindful awareness of how we impact our surroundings - from our environments to our relationships to the way we treat ourselves. Inspired by practices of meditation, breathwork, movement, archetypes, and her jewelry line, she seeks to hold space for others to discover their own empowered presence for themselves.
Jenn Green
Jenn's first retreat was to Costa Rica in 2017 and she cannot wait to go back. With over 10 years of yoga teaching experience, countless trainings around Thai Bodywork, tarot, meditation, breath work, and more, she brings a dynamic yet playful approach to self inquiry and growth.

The Fine Print
*There is a $500 non-refundable deposit on all reservations.* Pay in full options are due at time of reservation. Payment plan options require the $500 deposit and you will be emailed your monthly amounts when you register with the first payment being sent out a month from signing up. All final payments are due no later than December 1, 2026.
A late fee of $100/ month will be applied for ANY late payments. No exceptions for this late fee. It is stressful and no fun to have to chase folks down. Please be diligent with your payments. Your understanding is appreciated!
NOT included in the retreat pricing above is airfare, alcohol available for purchase at the hotel next to the retreat center, meals outside of what is prepared at the retreat center, optional onsite services, additional excursions you may plan, and incidentals.
You will also be sent a contract with the below terms and conditions upon booking.
Refund policy and a few FAQs:
Cancellations 75+ days before the Retreat commencement will result in 50% of money previously paid to be refunded and 50% of money being forfeited due to non-refundable retreat-related expenses.
Cancellations 0-75 days before the retreat commencement date will result in 100% of money previously paid being forfeited due to non-refundable retreat-related expenses.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
It is possible to transfer your booking to another guest. All booking transfer requests must be submitted in writing to jenn@mirasoma.com at least 60 days before commencement of the retreat and must be approved in writing.
Should I get travel insurance?
We HIGHLY recommend you get travel insurance to cover any unforeseen disruptions to your trip.
What travel documents do I need?
Just your passport! Make sure it is up to date and the expiration date extends at least 60 days past the end of our retreat dates. A visa is not generally required by U.S. Citizens into Costa Rica.
Medications, vaccines, etc.
Your needs are unique to you. Please consult your doctor about anything you may need to ensure that your trip is as successful, safe, and stress-free as possible. This is the link to the CDC's website regarding Costa Rica.
