Dive deep into the art of Thai massage with 54 hours of learning and relaxation! Join myself & Amber Nelson, LMT for the Thai Yoga Training certification designed by Thai Yoga Trainings founder Michael Sitzer. 36 hours are in-class and 18 are at-home online via a recorded video. The first four modules are referred to as 'The Foundational Flow' and the last two as 'Therapeutic Thai.
These courses are designed for anyone interested in learning to give an effective Thai Massage. Previous bodywork training or yoga training is recommended, but not required. The material is easy to learn and is focused on postures that are both safe and non stressful for the giver and receiver. There is time for Q & A as well as personal feedback and hands-on assistance from the instructors.
Foundational Flow' Training: (36 CE's, in person)
1) Supine Position- (Feet, Legs, Head, Neck & Shoulders)
2) Side Lying Position-(Hips, Back, Arms & Hands)
3) Prone Position- (Backside, Child's & Seated)
4) Double Leg Stretches & Energy Work- (Supine)
These four modules combine to prepare one in all the skills necessary to offer a complete and safe two hour Thai massage. You will learn how to effortlessly apply pressure to sore muscles, energy lines & trigger points as well as learn how to bring your partner through a series of assisted yoga stretches to fully open and relax them. You will receive a detailed manual and lifetime access to the online version of this course.
Therapeutic Thai: (18 CE's via video)
5) Therapeutic Stretches (Supine & Side Lying)
6) Therapeutic Stretches (Prone & Seated)
These are designed around more advanced and creative Thai style stretches. You will learn how to release specific muscles by combining Thai Yoga stretches with Positional Release techniques. These stretches fit perfectly into the 'Foundational Flow' or they can be strung together to create a full one hour Therapeutic Thai treatment.
